Since
August 2000 professional spotting-courses have
been arranged at Stockholm Arlanda airport. The
courses are arranged and led by Lennart Berns and
Robert Schönherr Jr. The
participating enthusiasts gets an introduction to
the fascinating hobby. This introduction includes airliner recognition,
tips on photography and useful literature, how to
appear/behave at an airport etc.
After
the briefing, we move to the runway in use at
Arlanda airport.
Here, the participators can use their binoculars/cameras
and practice real flightspotting. After enjoying the atmosphere
at the largest airport in Scandinavia, a quiz is
arranged and the best spotter gets a useful price
for her/his aviation-hobby.
The day ends with a
debriefing, and of course handover of diplomas. The
course usually takes place on a Saturday. It starts
at 10 am and ends around 4 pm. If you
are an aviation enthusiast, and like to know more
about spotting, feel free to contact us and give us a
note about your interest. We will contact you as soon
as our next course is available.
