(in Team Lufthansa colors) is correcting its approach to
Hamburg on a windy afternoon. On the image above you can
clearly see the flap-system extended on the
trailing-edge of the wing. Flaps along the aft edge can
be extended to increase the effective angle-of-attack of
the wing for deflecting more airmass and thus creating
lift when airspeed is low.
