The Boeing 767 was launched in July 1978 following an order from United Airlines. Pictured two and a half decades later is Air China Boeing 767-2J6 (ER) above. The aircraft on final-approach was delivered to the airline in 1989. Boeing 767-200 ER is an extended range version of the basic -200, featuring a center-section tank. Air China has configured their 767-200s to carry 211 passengers in three classes.
