(Norwegian Air Shuttle) operates on daily basis from
eight major airports in Norway, in addition to flights
from Oslo and Bergen to European destinations. Norwegian
Air Shuttle AS is an independent, privately-owned
airline employing almost 300 people. In September 2002
Norwegian launched a program of low-cost domestic
flights using a fleet of Boeing
737-300 aircraft. The company has operated routes
between destinations in western Norway on behalf of
Braathens since 1993 using Fokker 50s. Famous Norwegian
Amundsen is pictured on the tail of this Boeing 737-300,
